1. Find the first ending time
Start at 2:35 p.m. Jump 25 minutes to 3:00 p.m., then 3 more minutes:
2:35 p.m. + 28 minutes = 3:03 p.m.
Alex finishes the first building period at 3:03 p.m.
2. Find the final ending time
Add the 12-minute break:
3:03 p.m. + 12 minutes = 3:15 p.m.
Then add the final 20 minutes of building:
3:15 p.m. + 20 minutes = 3:35 p.m.
